Don’t dribble even a drop! I’ll stick with my excellent $30/bottle Irish.

“A rare bottle of whisky is expected to break world records when it is auctioned later this week.

According to the Scottish Courier newspaper, Perth-based Whisky Auctioneer company hope the sought-after bottle could fetch as much as £1.2 million.

The Macallan 1926 Fine and Rare 60-Year-Old is one of nearly 2,000 bottles being sold online by the Whisky Auctioneer. The first 2,000 bottles were sold last December.”

Hard to say, but from here on out, I'm keeping a case of Johnny Walker Black in the cellar. The individually-boxed bottles. And I do not even drink. But next CV to hit, I'll be set for trading in style.

Much better than what Bloomberg wasted half a billion on this year.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

IIRC a few years back someone discovered a case of whiskey in the arctic left over from an explorer or group of explorers. The did some scientific studies on some and then sold a bottle or maybe more. Fetched pretty good money too.

Back in the 50's, my grandfather stocked his bomb shelter with Dewars White Label. I still have case of it left. Tastes so much better than the current offering.

But if you can get it to float on its back, you've really got something really rare.

Now, know how to make a rare scotch...

Now be quiet, boy and learn from the masters.

I disagree. Some of us got a lot of humor value out of that. The rest of us are unlikely to get any value whatsoever out of this scotch whatever someone ends up paying for it. Big Grin

That Scotch would totally be wasted on me, as that is one liquor that I never acquired a taste for......now Bourbon, that is a different thing!!!
