Good bye Suzuki. Good bye BMW. I will miss you both. One of the best rides I ever had was on that little Suzuki

I may regret this most recent motorcycle deal but I really needed to clear out some space in the garage and my friend needed a first gen SV650 to warranty the one he recently sold that blew up.

With all the amazing Moto acquisitions this was sadly inevitable.

I will probably own another Suzuki SV650. This was my second SV and one that I liked even more than the first one I owned that had the honor of being my first street legal motorcycle.

I suppose you can’t or shouldn’t keep em all. I very nearly came home with a R1100GS but ADV bikes just are not my thing yet. Maybe some day.

Suzuki just announced a neat bike that may be the successor to the mighty 90° twin SV650. A retro styled parallel twin with a price tag that is still “to be announced”.

If they are anything like the SV sales will struggle but they will be loved by the moto community and maybe one day earn the admiration among moto enthusiasts that the SV650 enjoys.

So sorry for your loss.

But sorry for my ignorance. Does this mean you have room for two new bikes?
I hope I haven't crossed a line w/ a wife or anything.

These new Suzukis look awesome!! Might be the thing that gets me back into bikes. I too, had an SV650 as my first street legal bike, and remember it fondly. More fun than it had any right to be.

Wait a minute. Stickman "selling" motorcycles!
This is surely one of the seven signs of the impending apocalypse.

That's alright there are hundreds of different motorcycles to enjoy and you can't keep them all. Out with the old ones and in with something better or different.

That TT is one sharp looking bike.

You could add the Gilroy Indian Scout 99-03 into that search.
More or less a Softtail with different styling.

My father in law has an 01 Scout [S&S 88] that makes for a comfortable cruiser.

all I can say is that as someone who has raced the SV650 for a couple of decades that the new twin motor and chassis is not even in the same league. Much effort so far this year and it doesn't go faster and mostly sucks at least in a race context.
