Hertz should comp you the cost of THE CAR($$) - not just the rental. Had that been fentanyl you cold likely be dead now. Sounds like a fine candidate for a "mental distress" lawsuit much as I hate the frivolous crowd..........................
This is completely false. The "risk" associated with open air exposure to fentanyl is massively overstated. So much so that I have trouble using the word "overstated." |

| I have found a joint in one used truck and two rental cars. I also found a cellular phone back when they where large and expensive. This reminded me of the story of the rental car left behind by Hunter Biden. Drugs, paraphernalia, and questionable ID’s left behind by an addled mind.

In my case it would have not been just open air exposure. I unfortunately had handled the scale which very likely had trace amounts of meth on it. At the time I had no idea what the substance was. When we got the the local PD station it was after hours so we had to pick up the hotline phone. The dispatcher's first question was how long ago had I touched it. I told her it had been about an hour, and she replied that it likely wasn't fentanyl (as I wasn't feeling any effects, like death). Bottom line is this could have been really bad for me. As with many other things in my life, better to be lucky than good. |
