jhe888The Supremes decide that Harvard's and UNC's racially conscious admission processes violate the 14th Amendment
https://www.supremecourt.gov/o...pdf/20-1199_hgdj.pdfThat is the opinion itself. If you don't want to read the whole thing, read the syllabus, which is only a few pages long. The Court's opinion is only 40 pages long, but concurrences and dissents do go on quite a bit. Read it - at least read the syllabus. If you think this stuff is important, please know what the Court actually says.
The admission process at these schools violates the 14th Amendment by considering race without advancing any goal permitted by a strict scrutiny analysis.
The decisions and dissents are split along the lines you would expect.
A good day in the Court for most of us here. I think you have to twist yourself into knots to find any system that includes race is consistent with the 14th Amendment.

Something at which leftists excel. And they aren't even good knots.
Sailors have a saying: "If you can't tie a knot, tie a lot."

Yes, but that is an old thread - nine months old. I thought this would be more visible, and this is a big deal warranting it.
