In addition to loving traditional Irish Coffee made with Jameson Irish whiskey, for years I have favored Kahlua / Kamora as a nice occasional enhancement to a cup of coffee.

I had come across a post in a coffee thread of a gent who favored a splash of Grand Marnier. Given the frigid cold here it seemed like a great time to try this. I must admit it is quite a nice combination. Smile

So what do you prefer as your favorite enhancements?

his is my version of a drink served at the long gone Andrew’s Bar and Grill in Dallas. Sure to warm your cockles.

1 oz. Grand Marnier
½ oz. 151 proof rum
½ oz. Tia Maria

Combine ingredients into a brandy snifter. Serve with a cup of coffee.

Let me preference this by saying I don't drink anymore. My doc has okay and occasion glass of wine or after dinner drink. Not much into the after dinner stuff, but will have a glass of wine with a special dinner. 2X year.

So... back when I did drink a bit more, booze in coffee was never my thing. The hot from the coffee, dispenses the alcohol pretty quickly, which may be a good thing as long as the taste of the residual is to your liking. I liked brandy/cognac.

I occasionally make a very sweet cappuccino, but, otherwise, never add anything to my coffee.

I've tried various alcohols in coffee. Never liked the results.
