Wait, haven't I given this lecture before? Cool

Suspect took 5 of 7 shots. Taken to a hospital where he was initially listed in critical but stable condition.

FF to one minute to get past all the build up of cops standing around and talking about the Swordman. Shots fired at that point.

Pretty calm manner. I’m not sure I’m impressed with the ammo performance though.

It looks like the swordsman got a tummy ache.

It is not a great idea to armchair quarterback, especially since I have never been a police officer, or in the military, but the cop that moved to the back of the room seemed to have put himself in a crossfire situation with the other officer wearing the body cam, especially if the bad guy had managed to make it to the bottom of the stairs. I don't know why he didn't move off the right, closer to the wall on that side of the room where he would be at a 90 degree angle from his partner. Did he panic? It looks like it.

"Never bring a knife to a gunfight" only works if the knife wielder gets shot before he can reach the gun guy. At contact distance they are equal.

Here’s the hint. Cops (as a general rule) aren’t very good at this. Pick any video. Strong chance you will see cops pointing guns at one another, or other really poor tactics.

It’s a combination of things. Poor leadership, instructor egos, outdated training (we’ve always done it that way) and it’s-worked-out-thus-far being an operation plan.

Falls under the category of "What did you THINK was going to happen?"

Crazy or whacked out on drugs aside, things like this make me wonder much much Tv, movies and now video games plays a part in the dumb things people do. Not the old "makes them more violent" argument (which I suppose is also valid), but rather the "What now?" factor. Even if they went super ninja and killed all the cops, what now? Do you think they're going to stop looking for you?
There's no "after" in the movies, no repercussions, no ruined lives, years in court, no rest of your life in jail. Ya know, cuz that would make a boring movie.

Well, he did get two of them. I guess he ran out of swords?
