Anarchy Reigns in Chicago
Chicago PD used to have unmarked cops that would take care of the bad guys the way that the courts wouldn't. Most of the old trouble makers are still on the bottom of Lake Michigan.

It’s time for anyone with a functioning brain stem to abandon these cities and states where society is not wanted. When you pay taxes, you finance this.

Move to free states and primary state level reps that will stop this type of behavior.

I very much agree with you and would leave if I could, but it's not possible for me due to family.

That being said, there are still a lot of great people in Chicago, esp in the PD. I can't verify this personally, but saw this on Twitter with the explanation that this message was sent out by dispatch.

God bless and protect the men and women in the Chicago Police Department.

An LAPD S.I.S. style unit could reduce the number of miscreants. Quick and in a hurry. With very little video for the leftist media to use. Regards 18DAI

It will never improve until elected officials come to grips with the fact they are dealing with a violent subculture that must be met with overwhelming consequences. The media and elected officials do not have the courage to call it what is, and until they do, this will continue. Chicago needs a Grady Judd.

I’ve just begun the “Kelly Turnbull” novels by Kurt Schlichter. Does anyone else think that we are in the midst of of the “fictionalized reality” that he has written? He and Tom Clancy were/are prophets of future events. It’s the 1930s, with a good dose of 1860 mixed in, all over again. Frown

She would do well to remember what Roman Emperor Lucius Septimius Severus is famously said to have given as advice to his sons before he died on 4 February 211: “Don’t piss-off the guys with the guns” (or words to that effect).

Chicago’s problem is that key people cannot connect the dots.

Cries for "need a new Mayor" and "when will the politicians in Chicago see the light" are as hollow as they are in all the large Democratic Cities.

We might not like the local politicians but at least we have to admit that they are not that stupid. They all know what the problems are they CHOOSE to not touch it.
We have tipped the scales to the least productive citizens, they out number us now and out vote us.
If the politicians want to be re-elected they MUST side with the shit heads.

The Mayor was the lesser of evils at the last election. I doubt she will be re-elected.
Wait till her replacement is sworn in, if you think Lorie was bad the next Mayor will be FAR worse.

As I have stated before, the only way change will come is if the house of cards collapses.
Police and Fireman take a month off and let the city go.
Time to flush the toilet.

armored has it right.

Said another way, politicians are only interested in perpetuating themselves, not their jurisdictions or constituency.
