Is HSN legit?
Wife saw them selling Kindles for $100 while Amazon itself sells them for $150.

Are they legit? Seems weird they can sell for less than Amazon.

I’m wondering if it’s a reman unit...

I could see selling at a slight discount but selling for so much less seems like it’s too good to be true.

They've been around for so long, I'm sure they're legit. As for reman unit - call and ask.

It wouldn't bother me to get a refurb if the price was right. I just ordered a refurb Wii U from Walmart.com to replace our old Wii that died.

There are a bunch of different Kindles, with different amounts of memory. Are you comparing oranges to eggplants?

While I've never bought anything from HSN they have been around forever.

Is it the same Kindle you see on Amazon? Is it remanufactured? Amazon has made many different models. It's made them with ads and without.

They should tell you if it's a remumufactoryed one. Just have to ask if it doesn't say.

HSN, QVC, and every other selling channel are for the uninformed. They will hype up every 2nd tier and 3rd tier trinket they sell as if they were the latest and greatest.

Tony Little wouldn’t be on there if it wasn’t on the up and up. Lol
Seriously, I’ve bought a few things on there. No problems.

I used to love watching their knife and coin shows, where they have these guys yelling at how exciting it is they have this 947 knife BLOWOUT for only $129.99 or Easy Pay for 60 monthly payments of $2.99 along with super rare uncirculated colorized state quarter sets in both Philadelphia AND Denver in a wooden box made from George Washington's father's cherry tree engraved on the top "I can't tell a lie, pa" for $999.99, limit 5 per customer.

Sort of...
I wouldn't call the stuff they're selling 2nd & 3rd tier however, you are correct in that many of their customers are...gullible, impressionable, naive, undisciplined. The salesman are doing what they're supposed to do, hock the goods, make it interesting, make the products compelling, Mike Rowe started his career there. If you're a manufacturer, and you don't have a sales dept or, you're avoiding traditional wholesale business model, HSN/QVC is the holy grail of outlets.

Baseball cards!!!

Knives!!!

I can't find any coin ones unfortunately. Man, those baseball cards and knives have to be worth some big $$$ now though, adjusted for inflation and including the shipping box...$5, depending on Office Max's price on shipping boxes.
