You must post your cat portrait.

You must, I say! The safety of the Western World depends upon it.

Hi guys! I suppose it’s that time of year again, and damn you all for kicking up so much dust.. my allergies are flaring up

Unfortunately both kitty’s have passed away Frown Aston (big tabby) fought a long battle with diabetes and passed away December 2020. He was the absolute sweetest cat in the entire world, and was there for nearly every milestone my wife (then girlfriend turned fiancé) had. He had the engagement ring around his neck when I proposed, he was there when we first moved in together,and then bought our first house together. I still can’t bring myself to throw away his insulin that literally moved with us when we bought our current house.

Binx was my first cat (that I adopted as an adult), everyone said he was my spirit animal. He was the most complicated, ornery, intelligent animal I have ever met. When my wife was upset, he’d seek her out and sit purring on her chest until she cheered up, he’d come up to my sons room with us every night, laying at the foot of Peter’s bed while I read them stories, then he’d come downstairs with us, “tuck” my wife and I into bed (standing on each of our chests in order to allow us to scratch his face), he’d then lay down on his pillow above my head (I’m 6’ tall, so for years I slept with my feet and part of my calves sticking off the bottom of the bed Big Grin ), and sleep there without fail, nightly, for as long as I can remember. If you’d pet him TOO long, he would make this guttural growling noise as he’d stalk you through the house, launching himself at you when he had you cornered (like I said.. ornery and complicated haha). Binx passed away VERY suddenly.. we noticed he wasn’t really eating, so we made a vet appointment, they told us he had Fibrosarcoma, he deteriorated so fast that I had lapoflove (a mobile euthanasia service that comes to your house) at our house less than a week later. That was in August.

Anyways. My apologies for making this thread so depressing, and here is the picture you guys (apparently) appreciate, yearly!

::edit::

A few of my favorite pictures of each (the picture with the money was for an instagram account I used to LOVE, called cashcats)

I wish I had the words. Our companions really weave themselves into the fabric of our lives.
I hope that someday another kitty might have the honor of being loved by you- or vice versa.

I'm sorry about the loss of your little buddies. Maybe one day you'll adopt another pair.
