I know there was a thread about ladies that conceal carry, i have shown it to my wife in the past.

With everything going on she is showing renewed interest in concealed carry and wanted to talk to some like minded women folk about carry techniques.

I put this in the lounge to get the best visibility, i know it's better served in the concealed carry section. If i can find the old thread I'll post there.

My wife carries every day. Currently she carries a S&W Shield in a Tier 1 AIWB holster with an ulticlip. She just got a P365 to replace the Shield and is awaiting delivery of a Crossbreed Renegade holster with ulticlips.

I have been carrying a Sig P938 for about 5 yrs now. I am small. 5'2" tall & 120lbs. I carry absolutely every day. What & how I carry depends on the weather, what activity I will be doing, & what I will be wearing.

What I use the most is an elastic band "hip hugger" holster by CanCan Concealment. I have 2 of them the taller & the shorter one. I like them cos they have extra pockets to stash your permit, cash, poo bags for the dogs, etc. I don't carry a purse with me most of the time & when it's hot out, I am usually in shorts & a tank top so no real pockets. This allows me to carry everything. I did not want a belly band with Velcro cos I am very active & did not want the Velcro to come undone, these have the same type of "clips" that women's bras have in the back & they have a few rows of the clips so you have a few inches of adjustment. They also have silicone bands against the skin to hold them in place. I have the smallest ones they make & if I were any smaller, they'd be too big for me. Luckily I just sit it down on my hip a tad & it works perfect.

I also use an OWB holster & a duty belt. I feel it is more easily assessable this way cos it is not under the band of my pants. If you have the right belt, you can wear this setup directly against your skin, (no pants required☺️) If wearing a tight shirt, the holster "prints" more so with tight clothes, I prefer the elastic holster. I keep the Sig in this leather holster on my nightstand when I sleep so if in an emergency, I can just throw it on my waist & have it with me. I also wear it with my loose dresses directly against my skin.

The most comfortable for me, is an old, used leather ankle holster that laces on. However, I do not use in on my ankle. I place it just below the bend, of the outside of my right knee. I wear a lot of baggy Zumba pants & Capri pants with elastic just below the knee so it camouflages nicely & if anyone notices anything, it looks like I have a knee brace on. Not the easiest to get to in an emergency but at least it is with me. I use this method with long flowy skirts & when driving cos it is very easy to get to.

I also have a custom made leather IWB holster which I use the least. It is comfortable but as a woman, & having to wear holsters tight to stay put, it smashes you in ways that make you feel pudgy & no woman wants to feel pudgy.
