I use to have a subscription to bass masters but I don't know if that publication still exists. Try Google and just search for fishing magazines

Their magazine still is being published. In my opinion the best fishing publication is In-Fisherman magazine. It covers fresh water fishing generally as opposed to a 100% focus on bass. But it is very good and has a lot of very informative and useful articles.

Any type of fish?
All fish ?
That's a pretty big spectrum.
I bet your Texas D.N.R. offer's a
Magazine that might contain
The information you seek.

Unless you narrow it down to a half dozen spieces.

Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency.

Second vote for In Fisherman

Al Lindner has written books on bass fishing that you can find on ebay...cheap.

Bass Times which is published by B.A.S.S. is to me better than Bassmaster Mag.

If you send me your address I will send you about a years worth of each. My email is in my profile.

Also I will add if you go to majorleaguefishing.com their is a lot of good info by the way of videos on techniques and how to and equipment and lures.
