I was curious if you can send AND receive funds for items using this payment method. Does it link to a credit card or are you opening an entire "new" account.

I've not tried it,
but I mostly sell on GB, (been years since I have bought)

I am a bit paranoid about some things, and since they cannot and apparently do not want to open up or expand the messaging system to make it easier for sellers to contact buyers, I have avoided adding my CC provider/app to the checkout process, so no experience with the managed pay thing,

thinking they are following ebays lead

Yeah I’m with you. They don’t give a ton of info.

In as much as Gunbroker has historically been exceptionally unresponsive to anyone requesting their help with anything at any time, I would never trust them with anything.

It’s a shame really. I can’t imagine what they pull in every year but it has to be up there. You would think it would be run much more professionally.

Customer service costs $$$. Unless and until they see the lack of customer service impacting the bottom line, they have no reason to do anything about it.

I signed up for the gunbroker pay last week but haven't linked my bank deposit info to it yet. I have a couple of items for sale and will see if Buyers choose that option to pay.

I flipped a few handguns last week on GB and set up GB Pay in an attempt to make getting paid quicker. I got sick of paying credit card fees and don’t accept them anymore, even though most folks like the convenience of it. Anyway, one buyer has paid with the GB Pay option. The payment is currently showing “pending” since last night. Hopefully it will clear within 24hrs. It was pretty simple to set up, but I do agree that the lack of a customer support number is frustrating.

I've fussed enough with them that I have a Gunbroker support persons phone number and email address,

he tells me everyone is happy using CC payment gateway, but balked when I suggest they open up the messaging system,

he was afraid folks would talk to each other and deal off the GB system,

and FWIW, they do keep the messages you send, for 4 days

Hey Summers - how did it go? Did any buyers choose GunBroker Pay? Also, when you signed up, did they outline how they handle disputes/chargebacks?

It would be nice to offer an easy payment option without having to have a merchant account.
