Meghan Markle provides much needed comic relief
The Kardashians have more use and relevance to this planet than the royals. At least dumb people will buy their shit and watch their TV shows, they produce a "product". The British royals produce jackshit.

Royalty is an outdated concept. They all should get jobs and pay their own way. The land holdings should be returned to the people. Turn a couple castles into museums but otherwise national parks or condo developments or whatever.

Must be some royally great puzzy! I would guess Meg dumps Harry and he winds up living in his Land Rover.

I disagree. These two produce some great comedy.

They're a tourist attraction, such things, these days. Hundreds of years beyond their relevancy.

Will Harry's new title be: "The Royal formerly known as Prince". (insert strange glyph symbol here)

QUEEN: "Yes. Make it look like an overdose 007. Everyone knows those Hollywood types are into that sort of thing."

As I heard this it ends with the Queen saying

If you are referring to Harry and William, they are (or were) actual officers in the British Army, and have flight wings and medals they earned. Not “colorful doodads”.

I’m no Royal defender but that statement really highlights your ignorance of these people.

Getting away from the royal family, IMO, is probably a great thing for Harry. He might be pussy whipped, but being stuck with royal deeds is a weird way to live a life. It is hard enough growing up w/o media attention and being in the Royal family. If he can get through all this and keep his sanity, good for Harry.

Under the present sovereign, life as a Royal is as much about service as privilege.

If you marry one, you're marrying into a public role and responsibilities. Don't like it? Stay your ass on this side of the Atlantic and continue playing in low-end made-for-cable productions.

Exactly right. I was going to post something similar. What Harry did was not honorable in the least. He abandoned his duty and honor bound responsibilities. And he did it for purely selfish reasons. I thought he had better character than that.

As far as Meghan, I would've been shocked if she had done anything that didn't put her needs high and above anything or anyone else. She's an American Feminist. Here's a tip, fellas. Don't marry a feminist, especially an American feminist.

That a handful of the literal thousands of "royals" throughout human history actually did something useful to earn a medal or three beyond being a child of so-and-so is a tiny tiny drop of relevamce and usefulness in an ocean of pomp and festoonery and nonsense that datess back milmena.

And in those scant few moments of their collective "royal" lives they were simply, finally, almost-normal like everyone else for a minute. And as a so-called peasant or regular fuck who also served and earned my shiny doodads with hordes of other regular folks, I'm no more impressed with their service tban anyone else's.

Big damn deal. A few aren't completely useless and privileged wankers. Good for them.

The institution and concept and actuality of most Royals is exactly as I said.

As for William and Harry, I'm certain I could take them both if I had to. Thow Charles and Philip in the ring too and maybe it would get interesting for a few minutes. Big Grin

As someone born and raised in the US of A, I have never understood the interest in the royal family. Now that this petty soap opera has started I'm reminded of the acronym DILLIGAF. And I don't.

The former Duchess got what she wanted, to be pregnant by a royal. Archie is her annuity. I will repeat what I said in the beginning, this is not going to end well.
