Local family stopped by today. My pair of cocker spaniels went nuts - nice interruption of my conference call. My little one pushed out the front door, and almost got smacked by mom bear. Then my other dog got out, so I’m in the driveway trying to 1) not get eaten, and 2) get the damm dogs back in the house.

Pair of 30-lb cockers chased off all three bears, no blood spilled, and I went back to work...

They haven't come by to say hello yet, but they've been spotted within a mile of my house on a number of occasions.

Wally, a 9-yr old puppy on the left, and Daisy, the 11-yr old (and deaf) blonde on the right.

Wally lead the initial charge. Daisy backed him up. Very proud of their efforts.

Been in CT my whole life and never seen a black bear here.

I can't imagine a family in my yard.

I love Black Bear those are little ones.
Just pulled my winter cameras from our cabin in Southern Kentucky.

About 75 feet out the back door.

Good photo of the pups, feersum. I see why the bears were scared! Smile

Best companion I ever had was my cocker Charlie - same coloring as your Daisy.
