BaranGame system for son--need help
Make sure when you set up the Microsoft account you set up an admin account for yourself and one up for your son that is not admin. And that every game purchase and he plays is under his account. With the admin account you can not set parental controls on it or change the account type. This becomes a major hassle when they get older.

x0225095Sounds like he wants Xbox but PlayStation, with its gaming agreements, get games and dlc’s faster and earlier than Xbox users. Sometimes months earlier (Call of Duty). Xbox users get screwed.

As for sony vs microsoft, if he plans on playing with friends, see what systems they have. I have both but only do online with xbox. My sons and daughter are the same.
Very good point. This will become an issue so figure it out early on. And remember these platform systems may connect to the internet but to play multiplayer games you need to buy an access plan.
