Are you a shooter?
I belong to a club with unlimited allowed visits but I usually make it once a month and this year was 15 Range sessions - 965 rounds.

Not bad for a tight budget - Slipped in a Henry 45 Colt for Xmas to boot.

We need to fix this Q - not sure how but this will need to be addressed.

I used to read and re-read your great range reports - especially on the guns I now own from your collection.

Service Rifle shooter, or was, and have been trying to get back into it whenever I am off for a Match,

which has been about 9 this year,

only issue is I was also voluntold to become the club score keeper for the high power matches,
so some I shoot
some I end up coaching someone
and some I call the match ,

2025 schedule looks like I may get 8 matches, not sure how many I will actually get to shoot

ETA, I do enjoy helping out, as in Coaching some folks now and again,
and when I am not shooting, and can get away from coaching, I do make sure I have a target and rifle, so that when they do Slow fire offhand or prone, I can get a few rounds in,

managed to zero one of my Win 52's with irons at 100 last match during that time

Got three kids, all planned. No accidents. I’m a pretty good shot.

I also shoot daily when I’m home, or in a place where gunfire on personal property is permitted.

My 2 months at my dad’s I tested quite a few loads. Played around shooting squirrels and random targets with the 22. Even went up to 45-70 for deer behind the house once.

The year prior to all this I had a membership at an indoor range 10 minutes from my house in Maryland. I bet I went 6 times in the year, probably less than 500 rounds total.

I just don’t like people, those types of environments. It’s not fun.

10 years to retirement! Just waiting!

The last couple of months,

I had to slow down on getting shots down range due to family and work

But usually at least 1 live practice with our group during the week and a match somewhere on the weekend.

It adds up to quite a few rounds…

I don't count rounds normally in any way. But since I shoot regularly at several pistol matches with known round counts I can give you a round count for a single VP9 which is 5000. If I have to guess the number for other guns is at least that.

This is the first year I've actually kept track with any diligence.

Total Rounds Fired: 43,904
-Pistol: 40,331
-Rifle: 3,398
-Shotgun: 35
-Subgun/PCC: 100
-Rifmfire: 40

Total Trips: 111
Total Hours: 415.75

There were probably 20 days that were for work (instructing) and another 6 days that were training classes. I also shot 10 USPSA matches in there.

I would estimate that this is roughly double what I did last year and last year was on the high end of normal. Much more focus in training this year. Learning to separate "training" from "practice."

...and I still suck.

This is outstanding- coming back from shoulder surgery I hope to even get 1/4 of this range time in 2025

If I don't get out to the range at least once a week I get grumpy, lol.

I don't track my round count...probably somewhere between 5-10K rounds this past year if you include .22s. About 90% of that was on my own dime.

At least twice a month
Over 7k rounds in 2024
Gravel pit is about 10 minutes from the house
Carry everyday for work

I went duck hunting earlier this year. I may have shot around 25rds. For target shooting or plinking, it’s been a while. Maybe two years.

I have a cataract in my dominant eye, but still shot to renew my carry permit.

Dept qualifying twice (1 x pistol,1 x rifle) plus 3 training classes 2 pistol, 1 rifle . Went to range on my own only twice this year and shot pistol. I usually was going about once every month or so but it's been a hectic year.

Just got the reminder to renew my range membership, probably used it twice in a year, so still deciding if I want to re-up....

Thing is it's outdoor with responsible paying members who take care of the facilities, unlike the range where you can be a member or pay for time where it's a shit show of newbees, gangsta wannabes, uncourteous shooters and now limited times....

I have a range close by and try to shoot once a week, sometimes twice. I'm shooting mostly .22's and a lot of 9mm PCC's lately. I just recently bought a Beretta PMX to go along with my MPX and Stribog. I'm working on figuring out what optic I like for each one so I'm going through about 200-300 rounds per session.

I shoot 200 rounds twice a month, with my CCW weapons, from concealed carry positions. Classes are in addition to that, plus I do use Strikeman at home on occasion.
