These critters are good for a lot of things ~ inside walls, ceilings, in tight car spaces even rifle bores.
Wouldn't mind one that could do all or be made with accessories to do all.

Primary need now is looking in walls for remodeling projects.
I know the tool guys make one for about $200 give or take.

My concern is that the use is limited and perhaps over priced.
I have tired units that are USB attach to my tablet and they work except you have to be very close to the object.
Those are not good for looking farther down for obstructions or whatever.
I end up using a regular USB desk cam and a flashlight > awkward, limited albeit somewhat effective.

The USB units are plentiful and cheap but need something that can adjust focal lengths, a light and as a bonus if can use in other applications.

So anyone with experience with those tool units like Milwaukee, etc.

I've used the Milwaukee model before that one with good success. It can be a little weird to get your orientation right at first. Plus dirt/debris can routinely cover the lense. They are handy, but not always the end all to show you what's going on behind a wall.

I've got the DeWalt. It's dang handy when you need it.

Only used one 3 times, but I was under anesthesia.

I use all sorts of these types of things. Rigid, flexible, big, small, short, and long.

The biggest problem you'll have wanting to see anything at any distance is light. Most of these self contained units don't have enough light to see much from more than several inches away.

WOOT.com has them occasionally for about $35. I bought one but have not tried it yet.

They are a pain in the ass.

Well, I don't have anything to compare it to, but it's plenty good enough for what I use it for. I just peeked into the cylinder of a Briggs and Scrapiron engine and was able to see the scratches on the cylinder walls.

Have also looked in walls for plumbing leaks and such and it worked fine for that.

Probably not the best choice for laparoscopic surgery tho...

Harbor Freight carries 2 models. I have the upper model and have used it several times, I've had it 3 ye are now, works great! The best use was when I put long tube headers on my 15 Mustang GT. Sometimes when you drop a bolt, it does not have to be gone forever!

As soon as I saw the picture I knew the home / DIY colonoscopy would be well represented in this thread.

My husband and I both have the SwissTek wifi endoscope. Image is pretty darn good, cable length is excellent. The one with the stiffener in the cable (my husband has that one) makes a lot of things easier than the earlier model that doesn't (like mine).

I can hook it to my iPad, iPhone or Android tablet - or all three at once - since it's wifi. And have the device in a place comfortable for me to view without it affecting the cable or how I'm feeding it.

I have the Milwaukee, there is not enough LED light on the camera end to actually see what is inside the wall.
