Canadian psychologist Prof. Jordan Peterson shared his views on a University of Wisconsin-Whitewater professor's argument that “toxic masculinity” should be taught to children as early as kindergarten.

Kathleen Elliott argues in an issue of "On The Horizon," an academic journal, that there are "consequences of simplified, toxic forms of masculinity in schools and society."

Campus Reform reported that Elliott wrote that the media promotes “aspects of toxic masculinity such as physical strength, dominance, and heterosexual prowess.”

Peterson said that "you'd have to be a fool" to teach young children such a concept.

He asked Tucker Carlson why "toxic masculinity" is being discussed at all, and called the term "terribly defiant."

"I think it's appalling that faculties of education are pushing this sort of nonsense," he said.

He went on to say that children that are exposed to such "idiot social justice pseudo-education," they should be pulled out of their schools.

"Everything about the idea is ridiculous," he added.

Peterson called Elliott's goal to teach it "absolutely hopeless."

According to Campus reform, Elliott cited a now-disbanded University of Wisconsin-Madison "Men's Project" and said such programs "challenge simplified definitions of masculinity."

Peterson added that it's difficult to even define what "toxic masculinity" is.

"Where's the crisis?" he asked. "Why would we turn the education of our children over to idiot ideologues?"

Why have we suddenly (after thousands of years) started having problems with men being men and women being women ? They aren't the same and shouldn't be forced to act the same.

Yes. That is actually what they believe.

So if "toxic masculinity" is the root of all evil then how come boys/young men raised by single moms with little, if any, male influences in their lives aren't out there just crushing it with their kinder, gentler ways and spirit?

But that's not happening is it.

This isn't just propaganda, it's blatantly stupid propaganda.

I 100% agree. I couldn't believe the thinly veiled brainwashing I found daily in my kids' homework assignments and reading materials. My wife and I finally had enough and pulled our kids almost 3 years ago and are homeschooling.
Best decision I have ever made as a father.

Is there a list of offenses? I'm not sure what the complaint is but figure I'm gonna score high on this one.

I'm running into young males that are very aggressive and abusive. Maybe the lack of parenting. I'm starting to think this movement is based upon this, not the normal male masculinity we most all know.

I was talking to a friend who homeschooled his kids. Really knew little about it and had some questions.

What is unfair is that he still pays the taxes allotted to the schools with little benefit. I wounder how quickly teachers would smarten up if the revenues started dropping. Right now my tax bill is about 75 percent for the schools.

Ms. Elliott needs to check her toxic stupidity.
