Another Convert! Talked FIL Into A Weber Grill
I have a Weber Spirit 3 burner I picked up used off of Nextdoor for $150 last year. About the only thing that site is good for are the classifieds. Works like a champ. I have it hooked up to my natural gas line.

I was pleasantly surprised by how fast that sucker heats up!

I’m a grill snob. I only cook on a Weber.
On my second Weber gas grill of my life.
Last one I had was a gift from my dad. I cleaned it every year and replaced parts over time. When I passed it on to my son, I had already had it over 20 years!

I shelled out the bucks for a Genesis about eight years ago. I keep it covered and give it a thourogh cleaning every spring. Still looks like new.
I shovel snow to get to my grill!

Weber needs to address their cabinets. Everything on the Genesis can be swapped/replaced free under warranty or reasonable costs except the cabinet. The painted steel is the weak point. They put stainless doors on them but the sides, back, and bottom of the cabinet is just steel. I like the Napoleans but their cabinets are constructed the same way. I've been looking into the Blaze LBM Prelude. Stainless everything and lifetime warranty.

I have the Q3200 and love it because it’s a completely unique design that doesn’t suffer from this problem. The grill body is cast aluminum and the cart/structure it sits on is aluminum and heavy reinforced polymer, the thing is virtually indestructible.

My Weber charcoal kettle grill is about 30 years old, and still in great shape. The Weber smoker is close to 20 years old & gets used 2-3 times a month.

Our Weber Genesis 3 burner gas grill is pretty new at about 10 years old, but has pretty much taken the place of the kettle grill.
