Finally, I picked up a 2025 Integra Type-S yesterday. Black with the Black/Red interior.

Sounds like a great choice! I'm curious, did you test drive the 1.5L also? Wonder how different the two versions feel.

Wait, what?!? They still make the Integra?

I wanted an Integra GS-R to replace my CRX in the early 90s, but they wouldn't deal on them. I wound up with a 1992 Prelude Si.

I'll bet a new one is most excellent!

My daily driver is a 2017 Civic Si 1.5T with the two-mode dampers so it's similar to the comparable Integra A-Spec Manual. Great car, great handling, decent power, good value. But I don't see a real compelling reason to opt for the Acura over the Si though.

The Type S is a big step up. It feels incredibly solid and sure footed while still feeling light. I'm going easy on the engine for 500 miles so no full throttle shifts at redline yet. But you're talking 320 hp vs. 200 hp so it's in another league. 3 mode dampers (Comfort, Sport, Sport+) help a lot depending on road quality.

I'm keeping the Si for now, for bad weather and commuting on pothole infested interstates. Might give it to my son when he graduates college.

Congrats!

I got my no wife, no kids, midlife crisis car last year. My only complaint is that I waited as long as I did.

It'd have been the Miata or the Acura for me. The Miata has a truly beautiful, dare I say Exotic body on it. It's a great looking car and would be really fun to drive. Though that said, I'd probably pick the Acura too.

Just bought a new car a few months ago, but I decided I wanted something nicer. Test drive Audis 2019 RS 3, very nice inside, a few scratches outside. 2021 RS 6 Avant, very nice all around except curbed front wheels, nail in tire and tires halfway through their life. 2025 RS 5 Competition. I decided on the RS 5 but I wanted to sleep on it. One the way out the door I asked what they'd give me for my 2024 circuit edition GR Corolla, $37k, I just paid $47k 5mo/3,200mi ago, with taxes and delivery, I would have lost $13k. I decided I still like my GR Corolla CE. I'm too young to spend $101k on a car anyways.

It’s just a reskinned CTR. Slightly “softer” but not by much. + you get rid of the “big ghey wing” and such bodywork.

The FL5 [current] Looks majorly better than the FK8 [prior model].
I'd drive the current one, but a hard no one the Pep Boys special FK8 Razz

Buy an older Corvette... fun as hell to drive and not as expensive as a C8. Later C6 or C7 would do you fine.

Don't forget to save a little for the required uniform. White New Balance shoes, black socks, jean shorts and Hawaiian shirt.
