That would be my biggest concern.

Reports that some DNA testers were adding African to tests to mess with folks may be "partially" true. https://www.snopes.com/fact-ch...tests-screw-racists/
But an interesting side effect of that. Was listening to the radio yesterday (Lars Larson) and a guest noted that although he looks white, but based on the DNA tests he presented (along with some litigation) he gets preferential treatment with government contracts in Washington State with only 3% minority dna.

mine has been up dated and now instead of less than 1% senegalese, I have lower central africa DNA, (still less than 1%)

and the numbers show some change as well,
no more less than 1% asian,

more Scandinavian,

but mostly still English, and Scott/irish

It’s beyond me how far ancestry (beyond great-grandparents) is important to anyone. Who cares if you have 5% of Norse blood, 35% of Irish ancestry or 2% of Zulu DNA?

To the hell with that. I don’t even identify with some of my still living ancestors, let alone the ones who lived 200 years ago.

Once that info is in the wild there is no telling what can be done with it. Back in the day when Facebook was just nascent, everyone I knew tried to get me to join. Couldn't put my finger on why, but my spidey senses said don't o it. Now I see the wisdom in that decision. My spidey senses tell me to stay away from 'services' that use my personal info for their profit.

my ancestors 200yrs ago were serving in the militia,

my patriot ancestor that we used to get in the SAR served 3 enlistments,

even tho I knew from genealogy that I was mostly English ancestry, the test proved it,

not worried about the .gov, they have a shitton of info on me now,
