Failed "Honor" Killing in Houston, TX

I follow Andy Ngo and he reported this on Post Millennial. 2 surprises:
1. The local Houston CBS affiliate, KHOU, actually reported on it and didn't cover up any religious/ethnic ties. KHOU link in story below contains a video interview of the victim (Spanish speaking).
2. The judge actually set fairly high bonds. Way too many Soros funded judges in Harris County (i.e. main county in which Houston resides) that have been doing little/no bail for violent crime including murder.

Hana Ahmad Alolaimi, 35, and Omar Mahmoud Bishtawi, 48, were taken into custody Sunday on aggravated assault and aggravated attempted kidnapping, court records show.

Alolaimi and the victim, both of whom are married to other people, were involved in a romantic relationship, which was terminated by the victim three months ago after his wife discovered it, as indicated by court records. Prosecutors said Alolaimi and Bishtawi then conspired to kidnap and kill the victim.

The incident unfolded in a Chick-fil-A parking lot on Saturday in Houston, Texas. Alolaimi parked her vehicle next to the victim's car while he was inside the restaurant. After exiting the restaurant, the woman gestured to the victim to come inside her vehicle and he declined. That's when Bishtawi emerged from beneath a curtain in the back seat, placed the victim in a chokehold, and pressed a firearm against his skull, court documents allege.

The victim told police that Bishtawi told him he had to die because he dishonored his wife. Bishtwai then shot him twice, including once in the thigh which caused a serious life-threatening injury, police said. The victim was transported to the hospital, though it's unclear how he got there.

Alolaimi allegedly refused to leave the victim alone after he ended the relationship three months prior to the attack, repeatedly showing up at his apartment, the victim told KHOU in an interview.

Police said the husband and wife suspects gave conflicting statements to authorities. Investigators told the court there was concern for the victim's safety.

^^^ The husband doesn't appear to be a deep thinker. Let's kill the cheating wife's former lover for dishonoring her by having and ending the extramarital affair. The more traditional is killing wife for dishonoring marriage vows.

EDIT: Andy NGO's FB post clarifies that helping to murder her ex was her way to make amends for the affair.

That is an interesting story... usually its the woman who gets dispatched in an honor killing. Most people don't realize it but it is apparently common around here but never makes the news.

The typical story is girl somehow offends dishonors or shames the family in some unIslamic way. That Uncle comes over on a short visit from the 'old country'. On the last day the girl who committed the offense disappears and 'uncle' boards his flight home. He's long gone before any evidence is discovered.

If you think I'm lying, come out here in the summer and I'll point out one of the 'Islamic Police' out watching the Muslims to make sure they are properly attired and following protocol.
