I bought a Yeti 20oz tumbler maybe 12 years ago with a Christmas gift card I got from my kids. It's still in use.

Several years later I bought the same size knock-off at Walmart (Ozark I think) for somewhere around $7. Other than being a different color, I can't tell the difference. Keeps coffee just as hot, just as long. I had to replace the lid, and I found that the Yeti lid fits better than the original.

A couple years ago, I bought one of the Yeti coffee mug types, with the handle, for my tea in the evenings. I like it because I nurse my tea for a couple hours while reading. I like it better than the tumbler, but it doesn't fit in vehicle cup holders.

Academy Sports also Carrie’s a large selection of stainless mugs that we love. I have one older Walmart one that only has a sticker on the bottom so not a sealed system, the Academy ones all do. Granted the Walmart ones may be different nowadays. Contigo is also great, have a couple of them too.

Just checked my cheap mug.
TAL Ranger Pint

Stays hot much longer than the Yeti [and derivative brands] mugs.

But, again, not a spill 'proof' lid at all.

I got one of those 18oz Yeti with screw on lid, on sale years ago for 1/2 price. Unless I leave the lid off, it keeps coffee hot overnight.

Carry handle is built in to top of screw off lid. Never leaks even with those extra-coarse threads.

24 ounce with magnet lid. The magnet part comes off for cleaning in the dishwasher.

For no spill transport I do use the standard mouth Hydroflask bottle.

All can be found on sale, especially if the color goes on clearance.

I am one of those folks that cannot tolerate coffee in a stainless container. I can always taste the metal of the container in the hot beverage. I do have a couple of the large Yeti mugs that I use for ice water but even those impart a taste to the water as it approaches room temperature. I often thought that I was the only person that could taste the metal but have run across others that experience the same. Certain plastic containers are also have an effect on taste for me.

I agree with this, although I don't like the lids. Lid just pushes in and has a flip up drink spot. That lid is not staying on if it gets dropped, and I don't have much faith in the seal of the flip up part.

All that being said, I use one all day at work.

I use the yeti big boy! 32 oz I believe. Iced coffee. I have a cup of hot coffee first thing, then fill the yeti and it lasts me till noon- 1pm. I have a couple of clones, they’re fine, but the covers suck!

I have yeti's , Cabelas branded yeti types, and a few others, they all work the same,

however, to me, coffee is nasty vile stuff, even black with lots of sugar is barely tolerable,

tea for me, good English Tea, (Barry's gold, PG tips, Yorkshire,, etc)

I use an electric kettle, bag in a mug, and let it steep till it cools a bit, and enjoy,

if traveling, then I will fill the yeti type things , otherwise, at the shop, the kettle rules, with a simple ceramic mug

All of ours are HEB's Kodi brand. They are better insulated than the Yeti or RTIC ones I've tried.

I like the plastic or rubber top, too. I really dislike stainless steel's feel on the lips and especially the teeth.
