Love to see this guy publicly on our side. Great speech - short and to the point, supporting the effort to make Davidson County a 2A sanctuary. I know a lot of other officers and deputies agree with him and I thank him and the others who are lining up to do their part to secure our liberty and our rights. When I showed Mrs. Mike this video she asked if the sheriff would punis the guy for wearing his uniform... I told her that the sheriff would be an idiot to do so.... We had policies against making statement when I was in u inform whe in the service and when as a policeman....but that was a great speech. It supported the Constitution, and was embraced by the audience.......no sheriff ( with any sense )would slap that guy. I think he was clever in the way he phrased it and it would make it hard, if not impossible, to censure him over it. He said he would protect the citizens of the county and he would not enforce any unconstitutional law. His oath is to protect and defend the constitution, so hard to fault him for saying he would not enforce an unconstitutional law. He did not say what he would consider to be unconstitutional and did not say outright that he would not enforce gun laws that he considered to be unconstitutional, even if it is implied by his speech.
