“A Las Vegas couple have been accused of stealing $13million from Medicaid to fund a lavish lifestyle which included a private jet, luxury cars, jewelry and clothes.
Latisha and Timothy Mark Harron worked together to carry out a 'massive fraud' on the North Carolina Medicaid programme, according to a press release from the Department of Justice issued on Wednesday.
The couple, who were arrested on Wednesday, allegedly did this by billing the government for what the Department described as 'fictitious home services'.“
Wow. So incredibly greedy. They could have stopped at a million or two, and probably never had been caught.
Seems like these types get caught because of greed, every time.

They can't help themselves; they HAVE to brag about it. They NEED that feedback to show others that they are important, above the rest, entitled.
I hope they get long prison terms.

The home health fraud business goes back a long way. Surprised to see that it is still successful. When the home health business started, the program was viewed as a way to save money. Seniors would get care in their homes and preventive care would keep costs down.
Unfortunately there were few if any governmental controls and everyone got into the business. Former garbage truck operators jumped in and made fortunes. Part of what was being provided was housecleaning, which seniors loved. Lots of pencil whipping went on. Just mark the patient as poorly controlled diabetic who could not give shots to herself. Sad to see.
