I see some users here are utilizing Postimage.

I looked into imagur but it appears anything you upload is blasted out to the interwebs and free to be seen or stolen by anyone. I'm not looking for that.

Is Postimage only viewable by you and those you elect to share with or link to (ie posting images here?) similar to the what photobucket used to be?

I would like a method to post pictures here, but not place them on a platform that shares everything I upload to the world. I'd like control over who sees the images I decide to share.

I use post image strictly for images that I post here. To my knowledge they do not keep them, I never login to my account there. I just logged in and the only image I see is my avatar for here, so no, I don't think they are saved unless you log in to create them.

I think that your posted images are saved on the Postimage site. Otherwise they’d disappear from your post because SIGforum certainly doesn’t host them.

I use ImageShack myself. $19/year.

You are correct Pipe Smoker. I figured out how to "see" my images there.

I went to Postimage after telling Photobucket to $%#ckit.... and really like the sight.. after about a year I even gave them some money. The only gripe I have is I could not use them to post my little image over there on the left.... one of our fellow members did that for me with their web site.
