This is at the exit leading onto I-80 right below my neighborhood. My wife sent me this pic yesterday as she was leaving the highway. Can't imagine how this trucker managed that. He went off right after the overpass.

We've had more than a few incidents with trucks this year on 80 and down the pass. More than usual it seems. Fortunately there doesn't seem to be any injuries associated with this one though.

He's in that patch of grass between the west bound on ramp and I-80 West bound road. I really don't know what he was doing to end up like that.

If that's a Krispy Kreme parking lot at the top of the photo, it may have had the "fresh hot doughnuts" light flashing.

This picture of I-15 southbound and CA 138, in California just south of Cajon Pass between Victorville and San Bernardino, was taken 10/1/16, some time after I left.

The perspective is a little off; the ramp appears much shorter than it really is. Anyway, in the circled area beyond the straightaway, there used to be a gas station. The downgrade there is about 5 or 6%. Trucks would be unable to slow down for the sharp 90° turn at the end, fly off the ramp - sometimes even getting airborne - and hit the gas station. In the 20 years I lived in the area this happened five or six times. BTW, about 7 or 8 miles north of there is the main San Andreas Fault.

Hell. I'll speculate. Pulled over to get a nap. Crawled into the sleeper with just enough time to wonder " damn, I'm not sure if i set the brakes".

looks a lot like the photo of the truck from this KSL article i saw the other day - the truck hit two UDOT trucks that were parked on the side of the road, seriously injuring a UDOT worker.

could easily have been a fatal accident - that makes for a bad LIFE for a trucker.

Oh no, that is indeed the same incident. That's the Jeremy Ranch exit. Crap, I was hoping there weren't any injuries.

In your photo it looks like the UDOT truck is already on a towtruck bed back on the road.

I saw the headline the other day at work and glanced at the picture. the only way I recognized your photo - the red truck.
