196 San Francisco Police Bodycam Video Of Fatal Barbershop Shootout

San Francisco police have released dramatic video of a shootout inside a barbershop that left a gunman dead and five people wounded, including an officer. Twenty-one-year-old Jehad Eid of Suisun City, which is located about 47 miles northeast of San Francisco, died at a hospital after the March 21 confrontation.

"Chad said he knew Eid and called him a "really good kid." He said Eid "never meant nobody no danger."

Eid pointing a gun at a cop would seem to contraindicate this statement...dont even get me started on :

"Family members had reported that Jehad Eid was threatening them, flashed a gun and was trying to break into their garage."

Another happy ending as far as I'm concerned. Hope that cops OK.

SIG P226. I think they still issue 357SIGs to SFPD.

Suspect was shot 18 times. Hard to tell but I think the only police who fired were the two that were initially in the shop, a plain clothes officer and a uniformed officer. 18 hits out of 26 fired. Outstanding officers. Hopefully the other injuries didn't come from the officers.

I hope the innocent bystanders including the two children that were caught in the crossfire are OK. Nothing like minding your business one second and getting caught up in a gun battle the next.

The perp's uncle said, "He did not need to die."

I couldn't agree more. If he had just obeyed the law, and especially if he had not shot at police, he'd be alive today. Too bad HE chose to die that day.

(I don't really mean "too bad," - I think anyone who points a gun at police officers should be shot.)

Correct! They had accuracy issues with the Berettas due to keyholing. They went to Sigs (226 and 229) and have been very happy.

Pretty intense.

Looks like that guy with the kids was holding his cell phone during the shootout. I think I would have dropped that thing pretty quick.
