oddballStarbucks to Close 8,000 Stores for Racial Bias Training
Shannon Phillip's attorney seems confident in the verdict as far as punitive damages.
quote:
Phillips’s lawyer, Laura Carlin Mattiacci, told the New York Times that she and her client are “very pleased” with the jury’s verdict. She said he “proved by ‘clear and convincing evidence’ that punitive damages were warranted” under New Jersey law.
Phillips was regional manager for 100 Starbucks stores throughout Philadelphia,
New Jersey , Delaware, and Maryland.

jer830Good for Shannon Phillips. I’m not a marketing expert or anything, but I think that enough people in the US like the Starbucks stuff and would continue buying it with out them bowing down to silly social issues.
When companies hire marketing folks in the future, I hope this judgement will be in the back of their minds, that you are selling a product/service, and not out to change the world.

Well, PETA would be upset about the cruelty to cows. Also soy milk and almond milk drinkers have already setup multiple protests due to the cost increase when substituting soy/almond milk from the cheaper real milk.
