I blame John Daly. Golf used to be, shall we say, much more gentlemanly. When he came on the scene, every drunk redneck around thought that they could get out there, behave like him, and hit it like him. Not long after, every other cart was filled with jean shorts, wife-beaters, and a 12-pack.

Golf is dumb. Grown men behaving like juvenile delinquents is dumber. And alcohol amplifies it. I say hook them both for disorderly conduct and battery and let them sober up in jail.
I'll admit watching the little dude get tossed was funny, but I've gotta give him props for continuing to come back for more. I'm sure that has more to do with the booze than any conscious decision making though. That was far more entertaining than most other things I've seen on a golf course...

Gotta sympathize with the guys behind the drunk party. While golf should be a fairly leisurely game, nothing worse than having to constantly wait behind another party, and even if you've asked them if they could play-through, they get obnoxious and indignant about it. At some point, things are going to boil-over, obviously the better option would've been to call a course official and wait for them to get there but, seeing that guy eating punches was pretty satisfying.

It has been years, decades since I swung a club, and I was not a good player. I had my fair share of moments when I and my golf partner would let the faster group behind us play through, it was the courteous and fair thing to do. The two idiots were just being assholes about it, similar to the morons who sit in the middle of a street to block traffic, they weren't just slow players. I'll bet Tarnasky and his group just finally got fed up dealing with the two assholes in previous holes.

I worked at golf course for years growing up. One evening the ranger came to the clubhouse and told me there was a group driving too close to the greens, leaving pins out etc and they were very drunk. He was afraid to say anything to them so he came to me. I had him watch the pro shop and I grabbed a cart to go chat with them. I did grab my 220 and placed it under a golf towel on the seat of the cart. I found the group and pulled up. I was polite and asked them to refrain from driving near the greens and tee boxes and to replace the flagstick when they finished each hole. 3 of the 4 were fine with that but one decided to take issue with my request. He started walking toward me with a club in his hand. I placed my hand under the towel. One of his buddies noticed and quickly grabbed him and forced him into their cart. They decided to call it an evening after playing 5 holes which was probably best.
Build a man a fire and keep him warm for a night, set a man on fire and keep him warm the rest of his life.

The worst I have experienced in 30 years of golf.
Another golfer thought we were playing too slow ( we were being held up by the group in front of us, who were being held up by the group in front of them you get the idea). Anyway, he drove into us while we waited on the fairway. I got hit (not hard, I think it hit my leg). It was the 16th, we were near the parking lot, after the customary F you's etc. we decided it was not a good day to play after all. Its a stupid game and it got heated fast.
Club house saw what had happened, and as we were checking our carts in, he walked out and said we had been refunded to our cards. AND those a-holes would not be allowed back. Anyway, that is my favorite place to golf. It really is a great game. I have always been glad my friends talked me into disengaging. Why beer? I love beer, I really do but when I am hot, I just want water, and / or gatorade.

At a well run golf course, the ranger should've seen the drunks way behind and taking 15+ minutes to tee off. Ranger should be passing by once or twice per 9 and the roving concessions gals have radios and should be passing by once or twice per 9 as well.
