A guy at work just dragged home a 2006 that's pretty smashed up for $8,000. He got it just for the engine and stuff to go into a 73 Camaro.

I was surprised at how much he paid for it and this guy doesn't buy anything unless it's a deal.

That's the thing, with my mom having been been a very successful new car salesperson, I know how somethings work.

Trading it in, regardless of the year, still results in a NADA or Blue Book price, +/- 10%.

WIth this car having a full Pedders Street II, Front/rear Hotchkiss sway bars, stock BlowChunks stereo removed and an Alpine HU, two pair of Infinity Kappas (before they went to crap) installed, a pair of Memphis 8" in in the rear deck - with a seal box underneath (if you know anything about the GTO design, you'll understand) and powered by a Memphis Big Belle (plus all the sound deadening and appropriately routed (and quality) wiring, Gentex Mirror, lifetime warranty tint, ALL receipts since new (I am the original owner) and more - this ain't your "stock" version (also - have all the OEM stuff).

While I think $8k is high for an LS2 motor, I do know, for a fact, the LS1 motor burns cleaner than an ELEV (Extra Low Emissions Vehicle) does. Or, at least the motor in this car that is (have the documents to prove it).

So, trading it in, ain't an option, nor do I expect to sell it overnight eight. Wink
