I gotta go with canned spinach. There’s no racial connotation, but its very presence certainly offends me.

I’m Swedish and if they had orange or grape soda that would be one fine meal.

JohnCourageAs you business they should have known this would be used to attack them as racist. This exact situation has played out before. Is it racist, no. Is it bullshit, yes. Any marketing person worth a damn would have known better.

jhe888That is a great menu.
Maybe the Swedes don't even know where they went wrong with the woke crowd. Or maybe they don't care.
But a fried chicken supper can't be beat, in my book.

ensigmaticI'm tryin' to figure out if I'm supposed to be offended on St. Patrick's Day when, here in the U.S., there's corned beef and cabbage as the meal of the day everywhere, cases of Guinness stout predominating stores' display spaces, and so-on
Maybe the problem is the Irish get a bunch of jokes about them tossed around on and near SPD and nobody was telling jokes about black folk on Juneteenth?

Well shit.
This old white guy would have been there so early, I'd offer to help with the cooking too.

Perhaps we can eradicate watermelons from the planet.
The chickens have to stay, though.

ScreamingCockatooI grew up in South Georgia.
Fried chicken was a staple and watermelon was a summertime treat.
And guess who sold us watermelons? It wasn't the Amish.

redleg2/9In the mid-1970's, I met with the president of Oakwood University to discuss stained glass winds for the church they were building on campus. Oakwood is a Seventh-day Adventist university in Huntsville, Alabama.
When I drove on campus, I noticed a lot of young black men maintaining the campus. When I entered the President's office, I noticed the secretary was black. And, yep, the president was black.
The president invited me to lunch in the school cafeteria. Going through the line, he proudly explained that virtually everything they served was grown by the school. Well, there were mustard greens, chicken-n dumplings, mashed potatoes, cornbread, beautiful fried chicken, large slices of watermelon - think large melon sliced into six wedges, other items and sweet tea.
I looked around at the packed cafeteria and virtually every student had a large slice of watermelon on their tray.
As I put a large slice of melon on my tray, I thought, damn, I grew up on this food and I am going to enjoy myself!

Bite your tongue pal. I grew up on fired chicken and still crave it throughout the year. Collards and mac and cheese too. Anybody who gets in my way of enjoying that crunchy moist goodness is gonna git hurt.

You're a funny man.

Though as much as I dislike Tiger Woods, I'll offer him huge props for the way he handled this incident with the retards in the media.
