I have 8 usb ports on my home computer one of them has a ss next to it, it works fine the others, some do some don't. keyboard works printer works flash drives seem to be fine. when I plug my mouse or a golden key for a cad program it says not recognized.

I have updated drivers, turned power management off, uninstalled them, including root hub, restarted computer more times then I can count, unplugged computer for an hour, tried using a corded mouse, replaces battery in mouse. rolled back to a restore point.

And still only have one usb port that will run everything no matter what I stick in it. I have watched 100 different utube videos on the subject. been screwing with it all day, called rent a nerd and they haven't called me back. the cad program runs my cabinet shop and I'm sitting here dead in the water. any suggestions??
