I've never eaten at Bojangles, but apparently it's a big deal that 6 are coming to Texas. Houston-area's first store will open in Humble, the second in Conroe and the third in The Woodlands. 3 more opening in that Godforsaken market even further north For those in the Southeast, do y'all like Bojangles. If so, what do y'all like about it?

Man, we're already flush with chicken places... Popeye's, Church's, Hartz, Chicken Express, Raising Cane's, Chick-Fil-A...

Oh man! I could have used Bojangles when I was living in the Woodlands... Love living in NC now - Bojangles central!! --------------------------------------- It's like my brain's a tree and you're those little cookie elves.

One opened by me recently. I remember eating there in college, their chicken is trash. Their breakfast sandwiches are pretty good, better than most fast food places. They were a 1.5 hr wait when first opened. Still takes 30 minutes to go through drive thru. Stick to breakfast sandwiches, but skip the biscuits and gravy. Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

Best I can tell, Bojangles converted to a different sweetener about two years ago. Before, it was good food at a good price. Since they changed it, everything tastes like a bad diet soda that has been left outside in the sun for two weeks! So, um, yeah... I haven't been back since. Good luck.

Wow. Flashback to the 1970s. Nothing special. Here we have KFC, Chruch's, Zaxbys, Chick Filet, Raising Canes all within a mile of my office. All about the same level of mediocrity. There are also Mom and Pop places that are ALL better.

I like their chicken as long as it’s fresh and hot. Once it’s been sitting under the heat lamps for a little while, forget it. Their sides are good also. ——————————————— The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Psalm 14:1

Cajun pintos and dirty rice. The chicken was great, cant spell biscuits but they were good.. . Their sweet tea was addictive and I could drink a gallon. Now I like Lees Chicken the best.

Move Up or Move Over |
Not their first time in Texas by a long shot. In 1983/84 they had stores in Longview, Texarkana, Tyler and 4-5 locations in Dallas... Not sure how long ago they left but after growing way too fast they shrunk quite a bit but in the last 4-5 years have started growing again at a much more sustainable rate.

Had it once, if you have a popeyes local its a slightly worse popeyes in my opinion but still passable. 10 years to retirement! Just waiting!

His diet consists of black coffee, and sarcasm. |
The chicken is "just OK" (good flavor, the chicken itself is tough/stringy at times), the biscuit breakfast (served all day) sandwiches are good. The best thing on the menu are the Bo-Tato Rounds, mildly Cajun-flavored hash brown "nuggets."

Don't Panic |
Bojangles is our go-to chicken option here. We don't have Zaxbys or Popeyes nearby so I can't compare. They are a good solid fast-food chicken option - well worth a try if the locations wind up near you.

The Cajun filet biscuit, roasted chicken bites and dirty rice are worth fighting for. Fight me.

Ate at one once. Didn't feel the need to do it again. It might or might not be a step up from KFC. That said, I live outside of Nashville so I'm blessed with a multitude of amazing chicken joints. This message has been edited. "So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?" "It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want." "You mean they actually vote for the lizards." "Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course." "But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?" "Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."

The best chicken place in Houston is the original Frenchy's down near the University of Houston. The neighborhood is a little dicey, but the chicken is the best. The chain Frenchy's are good, but not at all the same. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

Back, and to the left |
It's clear many people seem to like it, but I cant be the only one who thinks Cane's is only fit for consumption by pigs. I tried it 6 times total, 6 different locations and it has just sucked consistently every time. I just don't see how they could have F'd up more.

^^^ No, your'e not the only one. Cane's is crap. "We're all travelers in this world. From the sweet grass to the packing house. Birth 'til death. We travel between the eternities."
