maxwayneBought A New Battery Today
I went to the local Farm & Fleet to buy a new garden hose. I also checked the ammo area and they had WW 9mm for $26 a hundred pack.
The heat here gave me an idea and I wandered back to the automotive section and asked if they could test my battery. They did and informed me I needed a new one. I bought the current battery there 42 months ago and it was one of their Platinum Line. I have a 2012 Lincoln MKS and for some reason it is hard on batteries. I got a new $154.00 72 month battery for only $91.00. I got $82.00 credit from the old one and a credit on the labor charge.
It has been my experience, and from what I have read over the years, heat kills more batteries than cold. Since most, if not all of the country is suffering from serious heat right now, you might have your battery checked. I recommend buying the most powerful model you can and they usually have a longer warranty also.

.38supersigGood catch.
I bought a battery for my truck when I first got it. As you said, getting the best battery that fits your ride is the way to go.
I haven't had any problems with it so far and it was made in October of 2012.
Good stuff is worth paying for and usually cost less in the long run.

AnushI just go to AutoZone every 3 years & get a new 5 year battery. I only have one vehicle & don't want to fool around with a dead battery. Autozone gives me credit on the old battery even though it is still good.

maxwayneI have no reason not to believe them. I have suspected the battery might be going bad. Three years is about what the previous batteries lasted and they all died!
