0658Mine came today.
Two weeks ago I went on to the IRS site; I had to input my banking information as they did not have it as we use Turbo Tax (I don't understand why the information did not transfer from Turbo Tax). I checked a couple of times over the two plus weeks, it said information was received and the payment pending. Two days ago it updated and said the deposit would happen on the 30th. It was there today, the 29th.

cheesegritsWe're administering an estate that just received a $1200 stimulus check for a dead taxpayer. It appears that there were no safeguards in the CARES Act to prevent this. No one seems to know if the .gov will try to get the money back.
According to Forbes, this happened back in 2010 as well. "The 2010 checks were in the amount of $250....approximately 72,000 deceased taxpayers received checks after they passed away. If a similar number of dead taxpayers receive stimulus checks this year, the total will be a staggering $86,400,000."

lkdr1989As the other members have mentioned, if you're checking your Payment Status, make sure you enter your information in
ALL-CAPS.

OKCGeneI got mine today.
Coincidentally I was in Costco today and couldn’t help but notice how many TV’s were going out the door. I guess if you’ve stayed at home so far a new TV seemed like a great idea.
BTW why do people buy a 65 inch or larger TV and then expect it to go in their munchkin car? People pushing pulling and poking, trying to load that thing up. It’s not gonna fit!

No effect on my case. Tried caps and standard way. I'm fine until it asks for routing number, account number, and AGI/refund amount.

You might enter your address different ways. It would not take NORTH but would take N.

I've tried every possible iteration nope, double nope, and triple nope.
There are two input pages, at first I couldn't get past page one (address), finally I could. Second page needs AGI/Refund amount/routing/accct # that's my current hold up. Tried no less than 30 times.

David LeeSkins, if you've submitted your Direct Deposit information in the two years past, it will come automatic. Why you cannot use the site, I dont know. I tried several times over 1 week before the message said Will be deposited on a certain date. It came 4 days early with my tax refund.

Skins2881Filed late for 2018 which means paper check is how they send it, not filed for 2019, wife has some form that she never gets from one of her student loans that holds up filing. Prior to marriage I always filed by end of January.

I don't get this attitude.
This is a joke, right? How would you not get this attitude? Most every person on this board is, and always has been, against people getting government checks. The re-distribution of hard-earned tax dollars (to others who have less) is a very leftist, and even socialist or communistic idea that should be roundly criticized and not accepted by any of us.
Frankly, I am shocked I did not see a lot more of this attitude.

Ronin1069 Question for those who know....Feds used our 2018 return but I was still married then and we made too much money to get anything.
I finally finished up 2019 this week and filed as Head of Household, using just my income. Because of "stuff"...I'll more than qualify for the payment based on 2019 return.
Is there a way to get the IRS to review that return, even though they've already said 'no' to the 2018 Return with my ex wife on it?

GT-40DOCI have yet to see my stimulus check, but I am still hopeful. I filed 2018 and 2019 on time. They had no problem accepting my 2019 tax payment check, or my 2020 1st and 2nd quarterly pymts!!

They will review it as its for your latest year filing and your status has changed. Providing you havnt made too much income and, you've made available your banking information, your check should be deposited along with any tax refund you may have coming.
