I guess I'll call him and tell him he needs to come back and redo it.

To be clear. This guy goes door to door when he's in a neighborhood to drum up business. But he's been around for years. In theory, he'll fix it.

But then again, in theory, when I said to him "It's 6:00pm, the drive way is cool and in the shade, it's going down to 65 degrees tonight, and it's supposed to storm at 3:00am. We should hold off until Thursday." he'd have used logic and reason and agreed with me.

Yeah dude that sucks. Keep us posted though, if you don't mind.

Now I feel invested, but especially because of your opening.

Well, he did come back. He wanted to come the very next day which still had a high chance for rain, but my wife successfully lobbied for Thursday - (the day I told him he should do it back on Tuesday evening).

He did the whole thing again. I'm out nothing but frustration and delay. He's out another half day of his work and the material. But it looks pretty good now. And in most places there's 1.5 to 2 coats, as it only completely washed off in certain spots. Places that I suspect had less tree cover.
