Kubota makes some high quality, well thought out machines. I have a small JD backhoe and while it is heavy duty it is not nearly as well thought out as the Kubota competition.

You bucket needs a pair of chain grab hooks welded to that top edge (about 2’ either side of the step). With those you can really do some moving, dragging and pulling stumps.

Great machine. Diesel or gas?

Whatever you do, do not look at either of these websites after you look at skid steers......You were warned!

It's a 64hp diesel with no DEF although it does have a regen cycle. Chain hooks are on the list. Father in law has 4 different welders and apparently the patience to teach me.

How do you tell the difference between the men and the boys? Simply by looking at the price of their toys.

I went a different route. John Deere 2016 1025R with a whole 41 hours on it. I have the loader, 54" belly mower, 60" box blade, ballast box, pallet forks, and tomorrow a plow for the loader as well (That's why the forks are on it now). The loader is quick change. It's a 3 cyl diesel, 24hp.

For my needs, I also went green. Was using it just today to grade the driveway/parking lot at work.

Great looking skid steer. Bet it will give you many years of service.

Sigo, I'm all kinds of orange with envy.

I really want a skid steer but at the moment the budget says no...

64 HP is a lot. They are also deceptively heavy. Tracks might make it invincible.

As the seasons change, I’m going to be enviously thinking of you in your enclosed cab and a/c this summer. Razz

Budgets should always have tight boundaries. I barely slid into the 0% for 60 financing. My dealer actually did some creative juggling on the paperwork to "back date" a few days. Kubota changed it to 0.9% for 60 or 0% for 48 about two days after I decided to buy. Having said that, I looked at my need for the first two years and realized I'd be spending the same in cash to rent equipment because there is a lot of work to do. I figured if I was gonna spend 25% of the price in rental or paying someone else to do it, I could just as easily pay myself.

Looking at tracks, but there may be a clearance issue with the front tires and lift arms. Waiting on confirmation and quotes from a few different dealers in OTT.

Here in the AZ high desert I figured I would be OK in the summer, but no way I want to freeze my heinnie off in <32* winter temps when the wind gets going! Not to mention that even on nice days when the wind gets going I cannot appreciate the sand blast effect it has on my beautiful skin Big Grin
