At one point I owned one of these puzzles:

At a later point, I got rid of it unsolved...

Timely post. We just bought a puzzle a few days ago.

Then yesterday Amazon delivered a "Paint by the Numbers" set. I forgot all about them, but like doing them as a kid.

Right brained people seem to like puzzles. They find it challenging and relaxing. They also enjoy 3 D tic tac toe. I am left brained and puzzles frustrate me. On the other hand I like stuff like Jeopardy, Scrabble and Trivial Pursuits. Each to his own.

My sister had a brain aneurism about 2 years ago that left her 75% blind. The 1 thing the place that did her rehab wanted her to keep up is doing jigsaw puzzles. She does them every single day. They help her with her manual dexterity but I also wonder if they wanted her doing them so she gets use to feeling them in case her vision gets worse. She enjoys doing them & it gives people more stuff to do with her.

Wife and I just started a 2,000 pcs from Buffalo Games titled Sweet Shop.6.5

Puzzle size is about 36" x 28" and getting it fit on a 4'x6.5' piece of plywood is "tight>" We use a two sided (finished) piece of birch ply covered with a sheet set up in the living room - after all, ain't infected vermin type gonna e invited in here. Smile

We may need to cheat a little bit on this one Big Grin
