I did not want to derail BronicaBill’s thread about his Marathon.
But I appear to have lost my mind. I swear someone posted in that thread about their Torpedo Pro that is under Marathon’s less expensive label. That post has seemed to disappear or I am just imagining things that actually appear to exist.
I found Momentum watches with a Torpedo Pro model amongst others. They claim to be made in Canada and the US using Japanese movements compared to Marathon’s Swiss movements.
I have had a rough time justifying a Marathon over the years but these Momentums look nice for a whole lot less coin.

Have to say I am digging the Deep 6 with orange bezel

Or the M50 with blue bezel

Both with stainless bracelets of course.

I wear a smart watch at work so a quartz does not bother me as it would not need to be kept on a
winder.

These up to the quality of Marathons?
Maybe not the best them to kingdom come and back quality but plenty of quality for leisure wear?

A friend of mine loves his, it's the black with nylon band M50. He's had it for about a year now and no issues. It's a great deal, IMO, in that it has a sapphire crystal. If I wanted another quartz diver I would probably pick one up.
