TERMINATOR TROOPS China developing super-soldiers like Captain America after conducting ‘biological tests’ on troops, US spies warn Christy Cooney

CHINA has conducted tests on members of its armed forces with the aim of developing "biologically enhanced" soldiers, a US intelligence chief has said.

John Ratcliffe, who currently serves as President Donald Trump's director of national intelligence, made the claim in a newspaper editorial warning that China posed the "greatest threat to America today".

It comes amid mounting tensions between the two superpowers over control of the South China Sea, an ongoing trade war, and China's handling of the early stages of the coronavirus pandemic.

Writing in the Wall Street Journal, Ratcliffe said that where previously the US's intelligence efforts had focused on anti-terrorism and Russia, he had recently "shifted resources" to focus on China.

“The intelligence is clear," he wrote.

"Beijing intends to dominate the US and the rest of the planet economically, militarily and technologically.

"Many of China’s major public initiatives and prominent companies offer only a layer of camouflage to the activities of the Chinese Communist Party.”

It comes months after the British government announced tech company Huawei, known to have close ties to the Chinese state, would not play a role in building the UK's 5G network amid security concerns.

Concerns have also been raised about China's Belt and Road Initiative, an project of investment in almost 70 countries that critics say is intended to strengthen China's control over global trade.

Ratcliffe continued: “US intelligence shows that China has even conducted human testing on members of the People’s Liberation Army in hope of developing soldiers with biologically enhanced capabilities.

“There are no ethical boundaries to Beijing’s pursuit of power.”

Ratcliffe did not elaborate on the nature of the tests, and his office is yet to release any further details.

'REVOLUTIONARY FOR WARFARE'
Academics have in the past spoken about Chinese ambitions to use genetic modification to improve soldiers' performance on the battlefield, NBC News reported.

Last year, a research paper was published outlining plans by China to apply biotechnology to enhance its military.

"While the potential leveraging of [gene editing] to increase human capabilities on the future battlefield remains only a hypothetical possibility at the present, there are indications that Chinese military researchers are starting to explore its potential," the paper read.

The paper also quoted a Chinese general who, speaking in 2017, said that "modern biotechnology... will have revolutionary influences upon weapons and equipment, the combat spaces, the forms of warfare, and military theories".

Why bother? They can just engineer another better virus and create a vaccine for themselves before releasing it on the world.

China didn’t need to fire a single shot to quell the largest riots in human history and take Hong Kong. They have been at war with us for a LONG time and we’re too stupid and caught up in fighting amongst ourselves to comprehend this.

Creating a super soldier is nothing more than making a commitment to use training resources more wisely than we've done in the past. Will is more important than genetic engineering.

Military training is crap. I say that from the perspective of an infantryman with 10 years of service.

I’ve been saying this is a real possibility for months. I believe Covid could have been merely a dry run, including within their own borders. Imagine a virus with a 50% mortality rate... or even 20%. The Spanish flu of 1918 had a mortality rate of a mere 2.5% and is suspected to have killed 50 million people worldwide.

They don’t even need to. They could pull out a bunch of convicts with life sentences or newly convicted people that got the death penalty. He buddy you are going in front of the firing squad next week. Or how would you like to get infected with this new virus and go to America with a few grand in cash to go to every crowded bar you can so you can infect as many people as possible.

It’s never going to be hand to hand combat. We are pouring billions of dollars into their economy every year so technology will be the culprit. We know that COVID was created in a lab. Why would they be experimenting with something like that?

The reason is if in the future they need it they could send a few hundred people to the US infected with that new virus that they created that’s much stronger and can easily wipe out millions.
