Sleet and snow, 26 degrees, and rush hour looks like it's early Sunday morning. Eek
But, seriously, if I didn't have to go outside, I wouldn't. It's not the snow, but the ice that's the problems.

Calling for 2-4" here in Raleigh, and surprisingly there was ample beer and bread at the local grocery store.

I went to Home Depot this morning at about 8 AM.

It was a bizarre experience. They had their normal complement of employees there, but NO customers in the store.

What made this freakishly unusual?

Every time I stopped to look at or for something, a Home Depot employee was there to ask if I needed help with anything!

We were 64 yesterday and will be back to 70 on Saturday. In between, a couple days of rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow, and ice.

I survived snowpocalypse 2018. That inch and a half of snow that was gone from major roads by 9AM made it tough, and it was touch-and-go for a while, but here I am, able to tell the tale.

Same here... ZERO degrees when I took the dog out this morning.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Freezing temps and a bit of sleet and rain today in Austin. The schools and .gov closed. I might go the exercise room. Baked a loaf of barm brack bread. Still kinda bored. Thinking of baking Salzberger Nockerl but I am out of butter. Hmmm...

I had just the opposite experience at Walmart, normal complement of customers and very few employees. Three regular registers open and three self checkouts.
