SWMBO wanted to go touristing last night and she took a bunch of pictures with her Canon pocket camera. This morning, the card was fine. She looked at the pictures on her camera.

We get home and I try to down load the pictures. Camera reports "Memory Error". I pull the card to try to read it in a card reader. It reports "Format" or no card depending upon it's mood.

Anything out there that can help me recover her pictures?

Thanks,

RMD

Can you see the images on the card, with it in the camera, while not connected to the PC?

I've used Recuva successfully after accidentally deleting all the files on an SD card. It's freeware.

It takes a while to run (set it up and come back later is my suggestion), and it recovers everything from the SD card so you might have to wade through old deleted stuff too.

Thanks all. I'm trying ZAR X right now. If this fails, I'll be back.

Monkey: Nope, the camera now tell me "Memory error".

Thanks,

RMD

So . . . you better be sure there are no photos of that time you took your side piece to Disneyland.

This is true. It recovered pictures from a Yellowstone vacation three years ago.
