Daughter stopped by just at dark to pick up the birds I've been chicken-sitting while we built a coop for her. She saw/heard the brush thrashing at the back corner of the pasture. We walked over for a closer look and found a fawn tangled up in the fence. Looks like she tried to go through rather than over. May not have seen the fence in all the brush. I grabbed some welding gloves (sharp little hoofies!) and a pair of wire cutters. No harm done as far as we can tell, as soon as I cut enough wire to get her belly and legs untangled, she took off like a shot. Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Nicely done. I like to think animals appreciate these saves, but I know it’s really just humans assigning human emotions to them. It’s enough to feel good saving a living thing from a gruesome death. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

I was kinda hoping she'd bring her Dad by to say thanks in oh...say...November? Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Good job. I hate to see needless suffering. Of course, I did work an escape once where a couple of violent thugs got tangled up in the razor wire on the way out. Didn't lose any sleep over that.
