jimmy123xWhat's the best way/airline to fly from FLL or Miami to London
It looks like I need to go to Poole, UK for business on April 23rd, the closest international airport is BOE, but all flights out of here (Fort Lauderdale/Miami) are a minimum of 23 hours. So I was advised to fly into London Heathrow or Gatwick and take a car to Poole (3 1/2 hour drive). What airlines are the best to use? Any direct flights that aren't $2100+? It looks like direct flights are 8.5-9 hours and flights with a good connection time are 13-14 hours. I only checked on flycheap. Are there other/better airlines I'm missing?

sns3guppyNorwegian will get you Miami to Lisbon to Gatwick for about six hundred one-way. They also have direct. When you say "best," do you mean the top-tier airline, or the best price. The two mean opposite things.
TAP (Portugal) will give you the same routing for the same price.
Virgin Atlantic can do roundtrip for eight hundred, nonstop.
I see British Airways round trip through Miami, Nashville, Heathrow, seven hundred, or direct Heathrow and return for thirteen.
British airways service isn't great, the aircraft are getting worn and frayed, and Heathrow sucks as a through place, or for departures or destination.
American, Miami-Tampa-Gatwick for six hundred round trip (may be operated by British airways), same for Miami-Orlando-Gatwick.
Do some shopping. Price varies by flight dates, how far ahead you set it up, demand, etc.

jimmy123xWhen I mean best. I mean the best way to get there in regards to time and not having a bunch of layovers, price is secondary but still somewhat of a consideration. I'm not paying for the flight my customer is, but I'd rather pick which flight and times I'm on. I need to fly there April 23rd or possibly the 22nd. I simply did a check on flycheap.com and wasn't getting nearly the rates you are. I only see 1 Norwegian flight out of FLL at 22:00hrs and it has a stop to GTW, no flights out of MIA. Basically I didn't know which airlines TO check for this route, so this helps.

thezoltarYou didn't say how long you were staying and that will affect the price. A quick look on Delta.com shows prices in the $1100 t0 $1200 range round trip FLL-LHR for a week stay starting April 23. Travel time is about 11-12 hours.

aileronIf I needed to get to Poole from FLL I'd take a non-stop BA or AA to Gatwick (LGW) and drive. It's a pleasant drive, and you'd avoid a lot of the mess of coming down the "circular car park" (M25)
LGW is much more user friendly than LHR!

ShaqlDelta to Heathrow, nonstop train to paddington station(Heathrow express) , tube to Waterloo station, get on a train. I do this every time I go to london.

flashguyMy first thought was "in a plane", but it appears you want more specifics than that . . . .

MikeGLIDrive to Orlando and Fly MCO-LGW via Virgin or BA, both have non-stop flights.
