2003. An accounting book.

By the way, my first youtube video was a link fro this forum about a decade ago: George Washington: "12 stories high and made of radiation"

Nov 27, 1999: Sangean DT-300-VW pocket radio which I still have, works, save the TV band is no longer applicable as broadcasters were directed to convert to digital. But Weather, AM and FM work just fine. Smile

Ordered a book for college back in 1995.

Their in house delivery service is a joke. Last four shipments show delievered but were not at my door. On Tuesday two things got delivered to two wrong addresses. There’s only 12 condos in my development. Don’t know why it’s so hard.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Who else goes into your recommendations settings and checks the box "Don't use for recommendations" on everything you've ever ordered?

I only want to shop for things I need or want when I need or want them. I don't want to be tempted to buy things I might be interested in every time I log in because then I will spend money unnecessarily too often. I have no will power.

According to the Amazon website, my first order was for a book in 2008, but I'm pretty sure I ordered stuff before then.

I didn't remember, but I went back and checked my orders and apparently it was a CD of "Ænima" by Tool in 2011. I joined Prime in 2014.

According to their records, 1999 - a book. Three orders that year, all books. Possible but not very likely I used Amazon prior to that.

Peaked at 101 orders in 2017 and up to 21 so far this year.

VERY handy for those of us that live out in the sticks. I was gonna say 65 miles from the nearest mall, but even that one is shuttered and in bankruptcy now. I suspect on-line merchants did it in...

Can't remember when I bought the last thing from Amazon. The first time they wanted to sell me some extra membership of some kind, I declined, that was enough for me.

My first order was in February 2008. It was a college textbook for my son. I had 7 orders that year. In 2017, I had 127 orders.

Amazons shows that I bought the book Gods and Generals in 1997. Don't know if that is my 1st order or only as far as their records go.
