1991, 5 speed manual with less than 58,000 miles with a recent timing belt change.

It has a few minor dents, chips and scratches (that long white mark on the door is a reflection, not a scratch), but it's in pretty good shape overall for being 31 years old.

New tires, plugs, wires, valve cover gasket and a fresh oil change, it runs like a top.

So far it has been a hoot to drive.

Congrats!

I had a 2001 LS (bought new and had for about 10 or 11 years) and loved driving it like I stole it! I also auto-crossed with it. So much fun!!

Back in the day Miata.net was thee go-to forum. Well moderated, good peeps and TONS of great information

Put some summer rubber on it and enjoy!

We had both a 1999 and a 2005. The 2005 was turbo'd and came as a Mazdaspeed. It, especially, was a gas. Then I bought a 2006 Honda S2000. New world.

Remember when they were first released that people were putting their names on waiting list at several dealerships and had to be there when the car hauler arrived and the cars were sold to the highest bidder before the cars touched the ground...... drill sgt.

Fun car, I had a '92 for a while, but I had too many engine and transmission issues despite it only having 41000 miles. I drive a 2022 Golf GTI now, that thing is a blast to drive and faster than you'd think.

Congrats, hope you drive the hell out of it.

Hard to beat a go kart with l8cense plates, with 4 wheels.

I've missed out on a few NA & NB Miatas over the years.
A 95 M-Edituon & 02 Shinsen were the 2 that I really wanted.

One of those, or an ND2 Club would do it for me, but not having a garage puts a minor damper on it.

Congrats! Learn to pack lite!

Bought a 2000 off a repo lot. Later lucked up on a barn find hard top on Craigslist for $250, the hard top was great in winter and the visibility far exceeded the soft top looking out the rear quarters.

First Sunday drive with it I planned for a great day.
Beautiful day, little red sports car, twisty roads, top down, good food and a bikini model to pose with the car. Cool

Well it rained, we got lost, almost ran out of gas, the restaurant was closed by the time we got there and the bikini model turned out to be a Grandma! Roll Eyes

Ha! Great day anyway... and yes the granny/model was my wife. Big Grin

We put a 100k miles on her road tripping all over, one was 16 days, 6k miles and 12 states.

Bought a new one, black over red with black interior just like the old one just 17 years newer! The new one has all the latest creature comforts but the old one was more fun to toss around the back roads...

When we go on vacation in the SUV we argue over who has to drive...
When we go in the Miata we argue who gets to drive!

Wife grew up on a dairy farm driving tractors so she can handle the manual shift pretty well.
