I'm speaking from a state that has voted for leftists as Senators forever, so I can't really throw stones, but the blame always falls on the voter. Always!

My beef with actually gets personal with some of the legislation he has been pushing for years. Decades in fact (has to do with the Merchant Marine). I want him out, and I want him out now.

I've wanted McCain to go away for a long time because he sold himself as a conservative and was the exact opposite. I don't blame him, I blame Arizona voters. Arizonans like to claim how conservative they are but they have voted this Rino in over and over. Aim your disdain at them.

Lol, coming from someone from Washington State.
I'd be happy to compare the conservative politicians we've voted for and elected to your states list...
If you read my last post you'd see that I brought that up. It still falls on the voter, not the candidate and always will.

JM should retire and spend time with family and marshalling his strength. However, I suspect that he is so consumed by hate that he will attempt to remain a thorn in Trump's side even unto death if not beyond.

His voters are in Arizona. I'm in Utah. I don't have any recourse with this man. This dinosaur pushes his little pet legislation every single year that if passed would gravely impact the US Merchant Marine. Why would I expect voters in Arizona to care about the Merchant Marine? He represents a State that is essentially land locked for chrissakes!
So no, this one is not on the voters. This is on the Senator, and I can't wait for him to be out of the Senate.
Once again, my disdain lies squarely on him.

I'm too pissed at that poor excuse of a RINO to say anything even remotely intelligible, or sympathetic. I only hope Trump is on the phone with Ducey, impressing on him the need for a worthwhile replacement. And telling him to have McLame recalled if he won't resign voluntarily.

I respect him for surviving being a POW in Vietnam, but he has lost every ounce of honor he once had. Not sure when he first lost it (I was too young), but I do know that it was completely gone by 1987 when he was one of the Keating Five who inappropriately intervented after receiving substantial donations by a man involved in a scandal that cost tax payers $3 billion. Since then he has repeatedly chosen power & money over serving the people.

Lol, coming from someone from Washington State.
Off topic: A location of the "The right side of Washington State" means East of the Cascade Mountains. Consider "the right side" to be a dual pun. Washington's bicameral legislature and the "right" state senators are the only obstacles obstructing Seattle from taking over the entire State of Washington, making the state almost unimaginably worse than California. In summary, Jimbo54 is our friend.
On topic: McCain was obviously ill before the diagnosis was announced. As can be seen from this video where he was so confused that he invented "President Comey", McCain is not fit for any type service or duty or position of power. (I watched this live, and it was sad to see.)
Senator McCain could regain some respect by resigning as immediately as possible. That would be the best service that he can offer his country now.

Yep. My thoughts exactly. As horrible as it is, brain cancer simply cannot compare to the death of a soul. War hero or not, his soul died long ago and the rotting vestiges have been poisoning this country for far too long.

I was taught that if you can't say something good about someone, say nothing at all. I just hope the AZ. Governor has the balls to appoint a worthy replacement, should McCain do the honorable thing and retire immediately. Retire and spend whatever time you have left on this earth with your family.

This guy wasn't a war hero that people make him out to be. He lost 4 aircraft during his military career. OK, one wasn't his fault, it was taken out during the Forrestal explosion.
Was he stupid or have really bad luck?

Who do you see here that's wishing it on him? Who in this thread is celebrating the man's condition?
Let's hear some more about how horrible a way this is to die. You guys haven't yet driven that point home enough. Forget that he's a Senator with the best possible medical care available to him at all times, not to mention ready access to the best of medications.
He doesn't have Obamacare? They are way too important to have what they forced the majority of the people to have...If they had it it would be gone tomorrow and replaced the day after.

Perhaps it was before his captivity when he was a young Naval Aviator tapping the wives of buddies in other squadrons while they were at sea. When I got to NAS West Coast in the late 80's there were enough retired pilots around to tell those stories about him. I never detected any respect or admiration from those who knew or flew with him during his time before being captured.
Or maybe it was after he returned home from Viet Nam and decided to divorce the fine lady who stood by him while he was in captivity. Instead of reuniting and staying true to her, he chose to dump her a few years later for a newer wife who was oh-so pretty and heir to a large fortune. During his presidential campaign I read an interview with his former wife, who was very gracious and avoided all the opportunities to publicly trash her former husband. After reading the interview I determined that McCain never deserved her in the first place.
To me, John McCain has always been a fine example of how not to live my life. That said, I wish him no pain as he completes his long-overdue journey Westward.

Well, his boyfriend says he spoke with him and he "insisted that he'll be back".
This asshole needs to go away...twenty years ago.
I don't believe that the man is a "hero". The only thing that he has done in his life that is laudable is survive being a POW, and there are lingering questions regarding how he managed to do that. IMO, he was a POS before his captivity and he's been a POS since. Nothing to admire nor look up to.
And I agree with Jim. The blame for him being where he has been for decades lies squarely on the voters. I can say that while pointing fingers at my own state. We kept sending Max Baucus back there for thirty years.
