In a world rapidly trying to change the way we view firearms and hunting, our Grandkids go to a small K-8 school that rewards hunter/students by posting their successes on the main entrance bulletin board.
Good for them. Mike

Reminds me of rural Wisconsin. Kids were released from school during deer gun season. Here in Mississippi the game warden used to teach hunter safety classes in one of the adjoining counties. Regrettably, that program ended a while back.

That’s awesome. Looking at your location(s), I’m guessing this is in Montana. If it’s Florida, I’d be shocked. Montana has a lot of people who are “old school”, or on the more conservative side.

That’s awesome. My kid in 5th grade last year did an “all about me” project and put trap shooting as his favorite hobby. I thought for sure they’d put the school on lockdown just for having that on his poster board
On a related subject - I am a member of a local gun club that actively and enthusiastically supports a youth team. They compete locally against other youth teams, state wide and in interstate competitions. From there they compete nationally and even internationally. A number of the students of the team have gotten college scholarships to compete on college teams. If you know of someone that has real skill and discipline, pass the word that there are such colleges out there.

Good for them. My granddaughter's grade school is also very conservative and we couldn't be happier. Actually most of the mid-west is pretty darn good in this regard as long as you stay out of the big cities.

Very good to see something positive about the schools. Seems you can't read an article about the schools these days without something stupid coming up.
