Shawn Fain: “ The billionaires that keep amassing more and more wealth, so they can build rocket ships and do whatever the hell they want to do, that does nothing for humanity."

The folks building those rocket ships and benefiting from all the spin-offs may disagree

Shawn Fain is the embodiment of a 2 generation old plan. Further in my post, you'll see the reason the press gives his opinion air time (i.e. #20).

The dirty assed commies are very good at incrementalism and accomplishing their devious goals step by step over generations (i.e a long game). Conservatism's Achilles heel is that we just want to be left alone, but meanwhile the commies are incrementally chipping away at the American ideals that made us great. In 1963, Congress was so concerned about communism that they read the 45 declared goals of communism into the Congressional record.

Communism did NOT die with the fall of the Berlin wall, instead it rebranded itself as progressivism and socialism and today the 45 declared goals are largely accomplished thanks to a long game, a legion of useful idiots, and apathy. For example:
15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.
37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use ["]united force["] to solve economic, political or social problems.

This guy is clearly 100% communist. He clearly won't be happy until everyone in the Big3 make the same per hour regardless of role.

BTW.... what is Mr. Communist worth? Is he taking a $30/hr wage to demonstrate his commitment to everyone on the same pay level? Or is this the usual millionaire dictating that everyone else should give up their share?

“In the midst of this, Fain, according to records reviewed by Fox Business, is among the top earners in his home state. The union president earned $187,259 a year leading UAW training programs and $160,130 annually in his prior role as the UAW's administration assistant, pegging his full salary at around $347,389.”

I believe that would be about 168/hr + benefits

Musk providing the only large-scale free speech platform in existence, and leading the way in the civilian sector soon to colonize Mars- yeah, I can see how that would leave a union goon like you unimpressed.

I started listening to Rush Limbaugh in the fall of 1990. He explained many times raising tax rates on the wealthy doesn't work because most of the money is in the middle class. That's not the case anymore.

https://www.businessinsider.co...middle-class-2021-10

So, here we have a thirty-year trend. It's clear the system is stroking the money upward. How much longer does this trend have to go before the middle class begins to resent it?

I belong to a union. They have helped the membership attain better benefits than nonunion companies provide and provide the companies with an apprenticeship training program.
Our wages were established in a contract predating Bidenflation. Given that I’m one of those democrats are destroying. My wages aren’t keeping up and won’t for years. I hope the union management is feeling that as well.
With all that said you can understand why it looks so bad for the billionaire class to be making huge gains in that same time. I fully believe they deserve all they make. They make the world go around. If the union boss is disappointed in the members share of that, he should have negotiated a better contract. Then we all chance that inflation and still get nowhere.

Wages are the second problem. After WW2 it was possible to attain the American dream, home ownership, with one income. Today two or more is the norm. In my town, I see outside of some homes 6 or 7 vehicles parked out front. So, what happened?

Something happened around 1973 that decoupled our wages from our productivity. As you can see wages before 1973 rose in concert with GDP. After it flatlined growing half as fast. I've heard this was a result of going off the gold standard. I've heard this was the time women in mass started into the workforce, and the wage pie shrank for everyone. I don't know what happened. I would entertain theories from the membership on this topic.

My concern is the other side insists on Marxist ideas to fix these problems. The right needs to start thinking outside the box and come up with other theories leading to solutions. Insisting on this is not a problem is old-style thinking that will ultimately fail.
